What is One-Way Satellite Broadband?

One-Way Satellite is the Broadband solution for regional and rural Australia. It delivers speeds of 512kbps which is approximately ten times quicker than a standard dial-up connection. Perfect for downloading at high speeds, this solution uses a dial-up connection for outgoing data, with the incoming data coming back at superfast speeds through a small 85cm satellite dish. Because an overwhelming majority of normal surfing and downloading is incoming data, the satellite back-channel makes this system extremely slick. The user is allowed unlimited hours online, with a cap on the amount of data downloaded.
