What is One-Way Satellite Broadband?

One-Way Satellite is the Broadband solution for regional and rural Australia. It delivers speeds from 512kbps which is approximately ten times quicker than a standard dial-up connection, to 45Mbps. Perfect for downloading at high speeds, this solution uses a dial-up connection for outgoing data, with the incoming data coming back at superfast speeds through a small 85cm satellite dish. Because an overwhelming majority of normal surfing and downloading is incoming data, the satellite back-channel makes this system extremely slick. The user is allowed unlimited hours online, with a cap on the amount of data downloaded.

The gateway machine can be added onto any existing network to give high speed internet to all users. This system is remotely monitored and maintained, supports all network applications, is available Australia-wide and includes the dial-up channel.
